NUTRIENTS MANAGEMENT

POTASSIUM

Potassium (K) is an essential nutrient for plant growth. It’s classified as a macronutrient because plants need this nutrient in larger quantities of K during their life cycle. Potassium also helps regulate the opening and closing of the stomata, which regulates the exchange of water, and helps in breathing in the plants.

PRODUCT DISCRIPTION:

Potassium is an important nutrient that mainly helps in the better development of fruit, fruit size, Color and better quality of fruit. This helps in the movement of water and this gives strength to the cell walls. This plays an important role in fruit formation. This helps the plant to resist the stress and thereby helping in overall plant growth, better yield and seed set.

This product can be usually applied through spray as this is water soluble where in it immediately supply the nutrients to the plants. So you will find the difference in within 48 hours. Even you can apply it to the soil directly for better results during flowering stage.

Deficiency symptoms include:

  1. Reduced fruit size
  2. Stunted growth of plant
  3. Leaves become brown at the tips
  4. Also affects root development
  5. Reduced yield

Mode of action:

Plants uptake this potassium in ion form i.e K2O form. Plant absorb this K+ ions from the roots, and this mainly transported into all the plant parts and start working as below,

  • Leaves – works on photosynthesis and food production
  • Roots – Elongation
  • Fruits- Color and weight

Compatibility:

It is compatible with most of the nutrients, fertilizers and agro-chemicals.

Quantity of application:

Apply 2-3 spoons of K per plant once in 10 days interval for adequate K supply during flower bud initiation stage until fruiting stage.

Results

  • Increase disease resistance and drought resistance.
  • Reduces water loss and wilting of plants.
  • Promotes photosynthesis and food formation.
  • Reduces respiration, preventing energy loss
  • Increased fruit size, color and weight.
  • Helps to reduce crop diseases
